I confess, I'm obsessed...

Currently Listening to:

Obsessed by BoA
Okayyyy, creepy title. I know. Let me explain.
I don't tend to find things that I get really passionate about but when I do, I go a little bit crazy. Like when I was younger, I was obsessed with Barney. I would watch that show and then pretend I was one of the girls named Cathy and repeat the lines after she said them. And then after this one episode, where she wore a pink coat, my pink coat became my "Cathy Coat". It was weird. I also became obsessed with Disney Channel. All the movies and shows and actors. I wanted to be on Disney Channel so badly that I started going online and looking up Disney auditions and...it was crazy.

So anyway, my point is that I've reached another obsession. Matt Damon.

Matt Damon as Francois Pienaar

I don't know why. Well, no, that's not true. I do know why. I saw Invictus about a week ago [12/20/09 to be exact...at 10:05 pm. Theater 9. $9.00. Can you believe that? $9.00 for a movie ticket? I mean, yes, it's a brand new theater with leather seats that kinda recline/rock/are really comfortable. But still. >: ].

WOW, I HAVE A.D.D. (unconfirmed).

Okay so back to the story. I saw Invictus with my girlfriends and I thought it was a really good movie overall. It was a bit slow at times but Clint Eastwood is always an amazing director (Gran Torino, anyone?) and Morgan Freeman is great in his role as Nelson Mandela1. Matt Damon was really good in it too2. At least, in my opinion. I guess I must have been super impressed with his performance because after seeing that movie I became a crazed fan. To tell you the truth, I had never really thought anything about Matt3 before I saw this movie. But with his golden hair and incredibly toned physique, who could not fall in love with him? Plus the accent. The accent was the cherry on top.

HAHA. See? Obsessed. I don't know why, exactly, I get this way. I tend to be a little bit more mature than this but, hey. I'm 17. Give me a break. I rarely act like this.

I'm not sure what the point of this blog was. I think all I accomplished by writing this was that I showed everyone how crazy I am. Okay, okay. I'll try to relate this back to the big picture. The BIG picture: what can I be when I grow up?

A stalker :(

I hope that's not my only option. I'll think about what this all means and get back to you. Time to go eat my last dinner of 2009!

Happy New Year!

So my questions for the day are:
  • Who are you obsessed with and why?
  • & how much do you have to pay for movie tickets at your theater? Because $9 is just ridiculous in my opinion! >:/
1: In fact, when Mandela was asked who he wanted to play him if they ever made a movie about him, he said Morgan Freeman. So apparently Freeman had been sort of mentally preparing for this role for quite some time, even spending time with Mandela beforehand.

2: Matt Damon was even nominated for the Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor. Morgan Freeman and Clint Eastwood both made it on there for Invictus as well. Check it out!

3: Have you ever noticed how weird it is to just say the first name of a famous person? Like, you can't say, "I love Nicole Kidman. She's a great actress. Do you like Nicole?..." because leaving the "Nicole..." hanging there is like this weird empty space that must be filled. It must be filled with the famous person's last name. Kidman. Kidman. Nicole Kidman...you know? :/
